Recent road trend favors Cardinals
By Mike Sando
Cardinals fans hoping for an Arizona victory at New Orleans might be interested in how road teams with similar records have fared in the divisional round.
From 1997 to 2006, teams 10-6 or worse during the regular season lost all 22 road games in the divisional round. The record is 3-2 since 2007, counting Arizona's victory at Carolina last season, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
Another note: The Saints led the NFL in scoring this season. Teams that led the NFL in scoring have lost three of their last five in the divisional round.
