The AFC South standing in Power Rankings
By Paul Kuharsky
Here are the new ESPN.com NFL Power Rankings, with the AFC South dropping to second overall with a 13.7 average placement. The AFC North is at 13.1.
Jacksonville’s defeat of Indy dropped the Colts to ninth, with the Texans now ranking as the division’s top team at seventh.
I kept the Steelers at No. 1 despite their loss to Baltimore. A narrow loss to the Ravens is no huge résumé denter, and I just didn’t feel like anyone else made a claim to move up. With Ben Roethlisberger coming back I still feel like Pittsburgh stands as the best team a month into the season.
Please keep in mind I’m just one-fourth of the Power Rankings. You can see the four ballots here in Mike Sando’s post.
