Power Rankings: Colts 6, Titans 7, Texans 8
By Paul Kuharsky
Here are the new ESPN.com NFL Power Rankings, where the AFC South remains the most highly-rated division overall. Our four teams' average spot is 11.6, ahead of the 13.3 of the AFC East.
We’ve got the AFC South’s top three at No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8 with the Colts, Titans and Texans. My ballot has the Titans sixth, the Texans seventh and the Colts eighth.
I gave the Titans a big boost off their win over Philadelphia, as I think the Eagles are a high-quality team and Tennessee beat them with a second string quarterback and without a big game from Chris Johnson.
I still give Houston the edge over Indianapolis based on opening day, but we’ll have new data to sort things out after the Monday night Texans-Colts rematch.
You can make a legitimate argument for stacking the three in any order, I believe. But rip away.
Please keep in mind I’m just one-fourth of the Power Rankings. You can see the four ballots in Mike Sando’s post.
