NFL waiver claim order
By ESPN.com staff
The Vikings have decided to end Randy Moss' brief second tenure in Minnesota just weeks after acquiring him from the New England Patriots, according to his agent and teammates.
Teams now have a shot at claiming Moss and paying him $3.388 million for the rest of the season. The league's waiver claiming priority is based on inverse order of the current standings. If two or more clubs are tied in the standings, ties are broken by strength of schedule and by a team's opponents' record.
A team claiming a waived player claims his contract. If a waived player is not claimed, he is a free agent. Here is the league's current waiver order.
