Raiders take lead
By Bill Williamson
OAKLAND – It figures that a tackle would score a touchdown in this silly game.
The Oakland Raiders just took a 14-13 lead with 6:13 remaining in the third quarter on a two-yard pass from Jason Campbell to Khalif Barnes on a tackle-eligible play.
The Raiders’ offense showed life for the first time since early in the first quarter on the six-play, 74-yard drive. Before that drive, Oakland had 75 penalty yards and 54 yards of offense.
The Raiders were trailing 10-0 at halftime, but got back into the game because the Chiefs lost 10 points on penalties, and Oakland got a kickoff return for a touchdown by rookie Jacoby Ford.
Oakland safety Tyvon Branch just left the game with a concussion.
