NFL Power Rankings: Holding steady

By Kevin Seifert

The Detroit Lions might be one of the NFL’s two undefeated teams, but’s power rankers aren’t quite ready to power rank them in that order.

The Lions remained No. 4 overall on the Week 5 ballot, trailing the Green Bay Packers (4-0), New Orleans Saints (3-1) and New England Patriots (3-1). I'm not a member of the committee, but if I were, I don't think I would have voted any differently.

Nevertheless, the NFC North reclaimed its rightful spot atop the composite division voting with an average ranking of 13.8. The individual details:

1. Green Bay Packers
Make it five consecutive weeks atop this list.

4. Detroit Lions
No change after a 34-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

18. Chicago Bears
No change after a 34-29 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

30. Minnesota Vikings
Down two after a 22-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
