Peyton Hillis is a Chief
By Bill Williamson
The Kansas City Chiefs have announced they have agreed to terms with Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis.
He will team with Jamaal Charles in the Chiefs' backfield.
I will have more on this story soon.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Kansas City fullback Le'Ron McClain has agreed to terms with the San Diego Chargers. He will be the full-time fullback. It could also mean Mike Tolbert -- who is visiting the Chiefs -- may be on his way out.
But Tolbert runs the ball a lot more than McClain does. It would be surprising if Tolbert signed with the Chiefs with Hillis now in town.
Also, NFL Network is reporting the Chargers will visit with Denver Broncos free agent receiver Eddie Royal. He would play a key reserve role and perhaps return punts in San Diego if he is signed.
