The New England Patriots went into this year's draft with an absurd array of draft picks.
They're trying to ensure they carry a similar payload into 2010.
The Patriots traded the 73rd overall selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars and 89th overall selection to the Tennessee Titans for a second-round picks in 2010.
New England went into the draft with 11 picks and amassed 13 before making its first selection.
The Patriots will exit the weekend with no fewer than eight draftees because they've called six names and have two compensatory picks remaining. Teams cannot trade compensatories.
