Bucs: No concussion for Blount
By Pat Yasinskas
Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik made it a point to address the media Wednesday to say that running back LeGarrette Blount did not suffer a concussion in Sunday’s game.
Dominik said Blount will have an MRI to see if there are any back or neck issues. The Bucs have said Blount was cleared physically to return to the game, but the coaches elected not to use him.
I don’t know if there’s more going on behind the scenes with Blount, but I don’t think so. I think he simply has been relegated to a backup role behind rookie Doug Martin. Blount had three carries in the opener. Maybe that’s what he’ll average going forward in the regular season.
