If it wasn't clear before, it is now all but certain that Brett Favre won't be announcing his future plans Friday. That means FavreWatch will continue through the weekend likely into next week.
Favre spoke at length Friday morning with agent Bus Cook, according to ESPN's Rachel Nichols, but hasn't decided whether to sign with Minnesota or remained retired.
"I think he's more likely to wait until the beginning or middle of next week," Cook told Nichols.
The Vikings players report for training camp late next week and that's always seemed the likeliest timetable for Favre's decision.
Favre is clearly conflicted about his future, which isn't a great sign for the Vikings regardless of what ultimately happens. If he doesn't know what to do with six days remaining until training camp, how committed could he possibly be if he decides to play? Unless, of course, he just doesn't want to live in a dorm room and participate in two-a-days for a couple weeks.
Nah, it couldn't be that.
