Hughes will start again for Mathis

By Paul Kuharsky

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jerry Hughes will start his fifth game of the season and his third in a row at strongside linebacker for the Colts as Robert Mathis (knee) misses his third consecutive game.

It’s a break for the Titans, though their big protection issue is on the other side, where rush linebacker Dwight Freeney may not be 100 percent because of a lingering high ankle sprain, but will be attacking backup left tackle Mike Otto.

It’s a beautiful, crisp day in Nashville. Very few expected a Week 8 Colts-at-Titans game to mean much in the AFC picture. But the winner will have four wins and be very much in the mix in a weak conference.

It should be an interesting game.
