Denver wants to host 2018 Super Bowl
By Bill Williamson
While the Broncos want to get to the Super Bowl this season, the city of Denver wants to host a future Super Bowl.
Michael Hancock, the mayor of Denver, told the Denver Post that the city has put in a bid to bring the NFL's championship game to the city in 2018.
The Broncos have long been interested in hosting a Super Bowl. The biggest hurdle will be convincing the NFL that weather will not be an issue. The 2014 Super Bowl will be held in East Rutherford, N.J., the home of the New York Giants and Jets. Perhaps a good experience in a cold-weather city could help Denver's case.
Other than the weather issues, I think Denver would make a fine Super Bowl host.
