Ravens are hurting at inside linebacker

By Jamison Hensley

BALTIMORE -- The Steelers are down to their third-string quarterback in Charlie Batch. The Ravens, though, are down to their third-string linebacker.

Already without Ray Lewis (torn triceps), the Ravens will be without his replacement in Dannell Ellerbe. He's inactive with ankle, knee and finger injuries.

Brendon Ayanbadejo is scheduled to replace Ellerbe against Pittsburgh. Ayanbadejo has played in the Ravens' nickel package, but his challenge is holding up against the run, especially when the Steelers are expected to go with their ground game.

The Ravens' other inactives are: CB Jimmy Smith, CB Chris Johnson, OL Ramon Harewood, WR-RS Deonte Thompson, TE Ed Dickson and DT Bryan Hall.
