Halftime notes on Bucs-Broncos

By Bill Williamson

DENVER -- Here are some halftime thoughts as the Denver Broncos trail the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 10-7:

The Broncos are playing conservatively on offense. They will need to open it up in the second half. Without running back Willis McGahee, Denver is struggling to get a consistent ground game going, even with Knowshon Moreno's 45 yards on eight carries.

The Broncos' problems with dropped passes have come back in recent games.

Denver's one score was a pass from Peyton Manning to defensive tackle Mitch Unrein, who has played some offense in goal-line situations. Manning ran over to congratulate Unrein after the play and he retrieved the ball for Unrein.
