Glenn Dorsey era over in Kansas City
By Bill Williamson
There was recent talk that the Kansas City Chiefs would try to keep Glenn Dorsey.
However, he was the one free agent to get away from the ultra-busy Chiefs. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting Dorsey has agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers.
Dorsey was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2008 draft. A new regime came in the next year and established a 3-4 defense. Dorsey was considered a bad fit. He was a decent player, but he never lived up to his draft status.
Interestingly, San Francisco also uses a 3-4 base defense.
I don’t think this is a crushing blow for the Chiefs. I think if they really wanted Dorsey they would have gotten him.
