Wes Welker is a Bronco

By Bill Williamson

The Denver Broncos just secured star New England slot receiver Wes Welker with a two-year deal.

This is clearly a big deal for the Broncos, who now have one of the best receiving groups in the NFL with Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. What toys Peyton Manning now has.

In addition to helping the Broncos, it hurts a chief AFC rival as the Patriots will miss Welker badly.

In a much lesser deal, Denver signed linebacker Stewart Bradley. He was recently cut by the Cardinals. He is a backup player. He has starting experience from his days in Philadelphia, but is a backup type.

I will be back with more reaction to the enormous AFC West story involving Welker.
