Branden Albert trade could still be in play
By Bill Williamson
A Branden Albert trade between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins could still happen.
Miami moved up from No. 12 to No. 3 to take Oregon pass-rusher Dion Jordan in Thursday night's draft. The Dolphins gave Oakland picks Nos. 12 and 42. Miami also has the No. 54 pick, in the second round. If the Chiefs accept would accept that pick and Miami and Albert can reach a deal, a trade could be made.
If the Chiefs keep Albert, No. 1 pick Eric Fisher will play right tackle. If Albert is dealt, the Central Michigan product will play left tackle.
Fisher is a mean, athletic player who can excel at the next level. He will start right away regardless of what position he plays. The fact that Kansas City took a lineman first overall is no shock.
New coach Andy Reid has taken a big man often: In 14 years in Philadelphia, Reid took an offensive or defensive lineman eight times.
