Dolphins get cornerback Jamar Taylor
By James Walker
The Miami Dolphins added help to fix their leaky pass defense. Miami drafted Boise State cornerback Jamar Taylor with its second-round pick.
I like this pick for Miami. Taylor is a strong corner with size who could pair with free-agent signing Brent Grimes. The Dolphins were 27th against the pass last year and added a pass-rusher (Dion Jordan) and cover skills in the draft..
Perhaps the interesting story behind the story is Miami used its pick that could have been trade bait for a left tackle. The Kansas City Chiefs wanted this pick for veteran left tackle Branden Albert, but the Dolphins didn’t like trading the pick and paying an expensive contract.
Miami's search for a left tackle continues. But the Dolphins have patched other holes in the first two rounds.
