By Mike Sando

Colin Kaepernick
Colin Kaepernick announced Tuesday that he'll be featured in this year's Body Issue.
Colin Kaepernick has gone from backup quarterback to Super Bowl starter, First Lady visitor and Jaguar endorser in a matter of months.

His schedule has also grown to include a photo shoot for ESPN the Magazine's Body Issue.

From the magazine: "ESPN The Magazine launches its fifth Body Issue this year, an annual celebration of the athletic form featuring athletes from across the world of sports. This year’s Body Issue will hit newsstands July 12 and Kaepernick will be featured in the issue."

ESPN provided the following comment from Kaepernick: "Being selected by ESPN the Magazine for the Body Issue is an incredible honor. Thank you for believing in me, my 49ers family, and my INK!"

The photo spread will show off Kaepernick's physique and his sprawling body art. The quarterback revealed his participation in the Body Issue during ESPN's annual "Upfront" event promoting future programming and content for advertisers. Here's one photo from the proceedings. I'll update if another one becomes available.
