Bryant said he missed practice as a precaution.

Also, defensive end DeMarcus Ware practiced on a limited basis for the first time in three weeks on Wednesday.

Miles Austin (hamstring), Morris Claiborne (hamstring), Jason Hatcher (neck), DeVonte Holloman (neck) and J.J. Wilcox (knee) missed practice. Claiborne said he did some light running on Wednesday, but it's doubtful he'll play.

Hatcher said he's got some nerve damage in his neck area which is limiting the strength of his arm, and he's worried about playing in the Saints game.

Barry Church (hamstring), Dwayne Harris (hip), Danny McCray (hip and toe) and DeMarco Murray (knee) were listed on the injury report, but did practice.

Nick Hayden (ribs) was a limited participant.

His health issues aren't considered serious.

Bryant, who didn't speak with reporters, was dealing with back stiffness earlier in the season.

Starting running back DeMarco Murray returned to practice after missing last week with a sprained knee. Murray, who was listed as limited on the injury report, did some individual drills.

"I was out there [practicing] wasn't I," Murray said when asked about playing in Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. "I was out there working."

Murray said he did not wear a brace on his left knee.

Also, wide receiver Miles Austin (hamstring), running back Lance Dunbar (hamstring), defensive tackle Jason Hatcher (neck) and defensive end George Selvie (shoulder) were limited.

Defensive tackle Nick Hayden (back), linebacker DeVonte Holloman (neck), guard Ronald Leary (knee) and defensive end DeMarcus Ware (thigh) didn't practice.

Hayden and Leary are expected to be fine for Sunday's game, but Ware's status is uncertain.

Wide receiver/returner Dwayne Harris (hip) was a full participant in practice.
