NFL Nation: Kennard McGuire
This made it easy to see which agents had the most projected UFA clients, and how many starts those clients averaged in 2009.
The result is the chart below. Drew Rosenhaus has more than 100 clients across the league, more than any agent. The NFL lists 15 of them on its projected UFA list, including Terrell Owens and three NFC West players (Randy McMicahel, Anthony Becht and Olindo Mare).
Agents Peter Schaffer and Brian Mackler are next on the list with seven projected UFA clients apiece, but no agent with at least four players listed can match Tony Agnone for players with lots of 2009 starts. Agnone's list features 16-game starters Casey Rabach, Kyle Vanden Bosch and Bobbie Williams, plus seven-game starter Michael Gaines.
The NFL has no agents listed for Phillip Daniels, Tully Banta-Cain, Leigh Bodden, Mike Furrey, Damion Cook, Tank Johnson and Matt Ware.
Jeff Feagles, Jeff Zgonina, Daunte Culpepper, Paul Spicer, Clinton Hart and Vernon Fox are listed as representing themselves.

The Brandon Marshall-Denver Broncos stalemate is officially on with both sides prrovide differing versions of events.
Marshall's agent, Kennard McGuire, told ESPN's Michael Smith: "There was a meeting with Mr. (Pat) Bowlen and Brandon did ask to be traded. He was told by ownership that the team would do everything in its power to accommodate those wishes. We do feel that a change of scenery is not only important but necessary."
Marshall backed up McGuire's claim on his website.
Denver coach Josh McDaniels countered by telling ESPN's Ed Werder this: "We met after Pat's meeting with Brandon Marshall, and we've decided that we will continue to have a dialogue with Brandon and his representative, but we are looking forward to having Brandon at training camp,"
Buckle in, it doesn't seem like these two sides are on the same page. Marshall wants out. The Broncos don't want to trade him. As long as Denver doesn't want to trade Marshall, he won't be traded. The Broncos wanted to trade Jay Cutler and they did.
They want Marshall to be part of the team in 2009. And unless they change their mind, Marshall will be in Denver in 2009. If not, he'll hold out and not get paid more than $2 million. That is unlikely to happen.
Now we know Marshall wants out. But we also now Denver wants to keep him. The Broncos have all the leverage here, don't expect Marshall to get his wish.

Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger says Anquan Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, caused a stir by suggesting Plaxico Burress, Chad Johnson and Boldin were available for trade. Garafalo: "Giants assistant general manager Kevin Abrams notified the rest of the league that the Giants had not authorized Rosenhaus to pursue trade scenarios on Burress' behalf, and that any inquiries about Burress' availability would constitute tampering. Another person informed of the situation said Rosenhaus sent out another e-mail yesterday in which he clarified he doesn't have permission to seek a trade for any of the three clients he listed.
Revenge of the Birds' Hawkwind sizes up the Cardinals' restricted free agents, suggesting Gabe Watson could carry extra value.
Florida Danny of Niners Nation cites sport psychology in breaking down the 49ers' offense under Mike Martz. One conclusion: "Martz has had a habit throughout his career -- except for a year in which he had one of the greatest groups of offensive talent ever -- of failing to put his players in positions where they can perform at the highest level possible."

Don Banks of SI.com isn't sure what to make of the Seahawks' Jim Mora and the 49ers' Mike Singletary heading into the 2009 season. He expects Mora to be wiser for past experiences, but he's not sure what Mora is inheriting. The feeling is understandable. Matt Hasselbeck's viability remains a key variable.
Rob Staton's Seahawks Draft Blog tracks mock drafts and other draft-related developments with an eye toward the Seahawks and sometimes the division.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch says the Rams' Torry Holt has signed up with Orlando Pace's agent. The team could be speaking with both players about salary adjustments. Thomas: "[Agent Kennard] McGuire is expected to meet with Rams officials, specifically new executive vice president of football operation-chief operating officer Kevin Demoff, at the NFL scouting combine next week in Indianapolis to discuss courses of action with Holt and Pace."
