The logical next step in the current Vince Young story: Silent agent emerges, claims his client doesn't want to be traded.
This comes after Young recently told a Baltimore radio station that "if them guys don't want me to be in there, it's time for me to make a career change for myself. Because the fact is I'm ready to play ball. If they're not ready for me to play ball, then somebody is."
But now Terry McCormick reports that agent Major Adams said Young does not want to be traded.
"Vince's desire has always been to compete for the starting quarterback job in Tennessee. Even before they drafted him, they asked him if he thought he could compete for the starting role, and he said yes. He has always been a starter and that is his mindset.
"He has not asked to be traded, and in fact, is going to an event at [owner] Bud Adams' ranch this weekend. Plus, he was in there working out [Monday]. If he didn't have a desire to stay there, he wouldn't be doing any of that."
That's all well and good, though it's possible for a guy to continue to meet obligations and commitments while wanting out.
But if Young has no desire to leave, he probably shouldn't talk on camera about how somebody else is ready for him to play ball if the Titans aren't.
