Brad Richards, who missed part of Tuesday's practice with a sore groin, is not skating with his group today.

Richards did not participate in conditioning laps with linemates Marian Gaborik and Ruslan Fedotenko Tuesday and is not among the group heading to Albany tonight for the Rangers first preseason game against the New Jersey Devils.

Richards' injury is believed to be minor, but this is not comforting news for the Rangers who revealed Sunday that top defenseman Marc Staal is suffering post-concussion symptoms.
