Watch: Shanahan breaks down Letourneau-Leblond suspension
The NHL suspended Calgary Flames forward Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond for the remainder of the preseason and one regular-season game for his hit from behind on Vancouver Canucks forward Matt Clackson on Sept. 20.
It was the first suspended handed out by NHL senior vice president of player safety and hockey operations Brendan Shanahan, who took over for former discipline czar Colin Campbell.
Also new: the suspension came with a video presentation/explanation directly from Shanahan. You can watch it here (courtesy of NHL.com):
