Take it to the bank: Latest predictions
It's Tuesday and time for another prediction from Scott and Pierre. Scott is still in search of his first win, while Pierre fell to .500 after Week 2:
SCOTT BURNSIDE VS. PIERRE LEBRUN
|BURNSIDE (RECORD: 0-2)||LEBRUN (RECORD: 1-1)|
Still reeling from an 0-2 start, I remain undaunted (who knew Simon Gagne would fail to score a single point thus far and be out of the lineup with a series of ailments?). As the Devils keep saying, hey, it's early. This week, the Rangers own the longest current winning streak in the East (three games), but that will come to an end when the Thrashers visit MSG on Wednesday.
I thought Taylor Hall played his best hockey of the young season last week, but it was not enough to record his first goal, thus dropping me to 1-1 on the season. I'm .500, like most teams in this parity-filled league. This week, I put my faith where I never thought I would: the New York Islanders. They have a home-and-home with the Canadiens, and I predict they will take at least three out of four points, further underlining their ascension.
