Take it to the bank: Latest predictions
It's Tuesday and time for another prediction from Scott and Pierre. They are both tied at a whopping 1-2 after Week 3:
SCOTT BURNSIDE VS. PIERRE LEBRUN
|BURNSIDE (RECORD: 1-2)||LEBRUN (RECORD: 1-2)|
Fresh off my stunning prediction of the Thrashers' upset of the Rangers (or was that stunning upset?) last week, I look for my first winning streak of the season. Here it is: Detroit, tied for third place in the Central and one point out of fifth as of Tuesday morning, will be at least tied for first place by the end of play Sunday, even though it plays three games in Western Canada. Read it and weep, LeBrun!
Sportswriters make the worst gamblers -- Burnside and I are under .500 through three weeks! I thought the New York Islanders were going to take three out of four points from the Montreal Canadiens last week. So here's another bet I'll lose, but what the heck? I predict the Florida Panthers will take at least four out of six points this week because I believe they're a better team than their record shows. They've got Atlanta and then a home-and-home with Carolina.
