Cup Runneth Over: Martin Brodeur is set to play his 200th playoff game tonight and is attempting to become the ninth player in NHL history (2nd goaltender) to win the Stanley Cup in three different decades. Brodeur won the Cup in 1995, 2000 and 2003. Patrick Roy is the other goalie to accomplish this.
American Made: With Dustin Brown (L.A.) and Zach Parise (N.J.), an American-born captain will lift the Cup at series’ end. The only previous American-born captain of a Stanley Cup champion was Derian Hatcher with the Dallas Stars in 1999.
