The Los Angeles Kings announced on Thursday that goalie Jonathan Quick underwent a "minor surgical procedure" to repair a disc fragment and an inflammatory cyst, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Martin Lapointe, Paul Coffey and Mathieu Dandenault were added to the star-studded list of participants in the Wings-Leafs alumni games as part of the Winter Classic.
The Calgary Sun looked at all of the rumors surrounding Jay Bouwmeester, as the Red Wings, Blues, Flyers and Predators have all been mentioned as having interest in the 28-year-old defenseman.
The Winnipeg Jets have opened up a few more spots on the waiting list for season tickets. For an initial fee of $50 and an annual fee of $100, you can get a discount at Jets Gear stores, exclusive opportunities to purchase individual gameday tickets, and other perks, according to the Winnipeg Sun.
The Jets' first-round draft pick, Jacob Trouba, will spend the winter working with former Winnipeg star Phil Housley, as Housley coaches at the world junior championship in Russia, according to the Winnipeg Free Press.
