- Sharks' superstar center Joe Thornton is denying, through his agent, a report by TSN that he has signed a deal with Davos of the Swiss elite league. Thornton has apparently trained with Davos since the 2004-05 lockout, where he met his wife, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Rick Nash was also mentioned in the TSN report, but Nash's agent denied a deal had been reached.
- The labor situation and the uncertain future of the Coyotes has continued to keep Shane Doan in a state of limbo, according to the Arizona Republic.
- A lockout might complicate the already messy Devils ownership situation, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
- Still with the Devils, David Clarkson's fractured foot is on the mend, but it wasn't the easiest road for him during the playoffs, he told the Newark Star-Ledger.
