- An NHL rules committee is convening Tuesday and Wednesday in Toronto to discuss the way hooking, holding and interference calls were handled in the 2011-12 season, according to Canada's Globe and Mail. “We’ve got lots of video clips to look at and we’re trying to determine where our standard is and if we want to tighten it up at all,” Campbell told the Globe on Monday.
- A jury ruled that Ducks GM Bob Murray did not assault a woman with a chair in the press box after a 2009 playoff game in Detroit, according to the Detroit Free Press.
- In a move that is seen as long overdue by many players, a players union for junior hockey could be announced as early as Tuesday, according to the Globe and Mail. The CHLPA has been in the works for 14 months. CHL president David Branch said it would be "inappropriate" to comment about the union, when reached by the Peterborough (Ontario) Examiner.
