The Penguins captured Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with an easy 4-1 win over the Senators. FROM ELIAS: Evgeni Malkin has picked up assists in all seven of Pittsburgh’s playoff games this year. He’s the first NHL player to register assists in each of his team’s first seven games of a playoff year since 1999, when Colorado’s Peter Forsberg and Boston’s Jason Allison both did so.
