Sens set the record for last-minute work


In the first double-OT game of this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, the Senators defeated the Penguins, 2-1, on Colin Greening’s goal 7:39 into double-OT. Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson had sent the game to OT by scoring a shorthanded goal with 29 seconds remaining in the 3rd period. FROM ELIAS: The Senators are the first team ever to win a pair of OT games in the same postseason after tying each of those games in the final minute of regulation. They also did it on May 7 against the Canadiens. The Penguins still lead the Eastern Conference Semifinal series, 2-1.
