Take it to the bank: Our weekly predictions
Our experts took a break from predictions last week, and they were hoping it will reverse their string of failed prognostications. Here are this week's picks:
SCOTT BURNSIDE VS. PIERRE LEBRUN
|BURNSIDE (RECORD: 1-7)||LEBRUN (RECORD: 2-6)|
This week, I look to Wednesday's tilt between Colorado and Chicago at the United Center. The Hawks imploded Monday night in Denver, allowing three goals in the final 2:24 of the game to lose 7-5. It won't get any easier for the defending Cup champs on home ice, as we predict the Avs will sweep the home-and-home series.
My last prediction: Dany Heatley posting at least two points in his much-hyped return to Ottawa. He got only one. This week, I am fired up by my conversation with a fired-up Washington forward Brooks Laich on Tuesday and predict the Capitals will end their recent skid with wins over Anaheim, Buffalo and Ottawa this week.
