Oil Spill: The Oilers host the Sharks Friday night, but have been shut out in each of their last three home games. From Elias: The Oilers joined the 1972-73 North Stars as the only teams in the NHL's modern era (since 1943-44) to get shut out in three consecutive home games. Going back further, only two teams have been shut out in at least four consecutive home games (1928-29 Black Hawks, 1926-27 Maroons).
