The Capitals skated onto Heinz Field long after the stands had been cleared for their opportunity to test the outdoor rink, and with Saturday's game delayed by rain, ice conditions are definitely a concern.

"Ice was not that good, but we still have 24 hours," Alex Ovechkin said after practice. "And if it's going to be the same, what can we do? We have to play. If it's going to be better, it's going to be better. So we don’t have any choices."

After an hour long practice, the players brought their families on the ice.

Ovechkin seemed to be having the most fun of everyone and was the last player off the ice. The Capitals' captain posed for pictures, skated with children and threw around a football.

"Well, the atmosphere is great," Ovechkin said. "And it's too bad it was not open practice for fans. But it's good. We have family and friends with us. And we just chill over there before the big game, so it's good."
