Rumblings: Flames' Sam Bennett still slumping

There is no doubt that Sam Bennett's offensive struggles for the Calgary Flames will reignite the annual debate surrounding junior-age hockey players and whether they are being rushed into the NHL.

Bennett, 19, went into Tuesday night's game without a goal in 16 games.

Normally I’m of the camp that says players should be kept in junior as long as possible, but I’m not sure that applies here. And I don’t think the Flames are worried, either. He’s still getting plenty of scoring chances, he’s drawing penalties, and a lot of the data suggests Bennett is bound to snap out of it.
