1:30 p.m. ET check-in: Latest rumblings

Where things stand at 1:30 p.m. ET heading into the 3 p.m. ET deadline:

• Nothing new on the Brad Richards front; the Stars still haven't contacted the center's camp. He has a no-movement clause.

Richards talked about the rumors at today's practice: "I'm a Dallas Star," he said. "These are my friends; these are my teammates. There's no one on my side demanding anything or trying to do anything. I do understand, though, that [Stars GM] Joe [Nieuwendyk] needs to do a job. He's got to look out for what's best for the franchise. That's the business we're in, and it happens all the time. There's no hard feelings. It still doesn't mean I'll waive my no-trade, but I told them all along that if he has something, I'll look at it and try to make a decision on it."

• A source says there's "not much going on right now" for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

• The Panthers sent defenseman Dennis Wideman to the Washington Capitals for prospect Jake Hauswirth and a third-round 2011 pick.

• Columbus traded defenseman Rostislav Klesla and minor leaguer Dane Byers to Phoenix for winger Scottie Upshall and blueliner Sami Lepisto.

• The Atlanta Thrashers claimed forward Rob Schremp off NHL waivers from the New York Islanders on Monday.
