Quick contract talks progressing
Contract talks between Conn Smythe Trophy winning Jonathan Quick and the Stanley Cup-champion Los Angeles Kings are progressing nicely, a source told ESPN.com Wednesday.
And while the Kings and Quick’s agent, George Bazos, are largely on the same page in talks, the source said, there remains work to be done on a new deal.
Quick has one more season left on his current contract paying him $1.7 million next season ($1.8 million cap hit). He cannot officially sign an extension until Sunday (July 1).
