Will the Red Wings make the playoffs?

With 23 games left to play, the
Detroit Red Wings
are clinging to the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
They've been bitten by the injury bug all season and it won’t get any better down the stretch with
out for the rest of the season after leaving the Olympics to have back surgery.

It has been a long time since the Red Wings missed the postseason -- to be precise, the 1989-90 season was the last time they sat out the playoffs.
