NHL Players Association executive director Don Fehr announced four additions to his staff on Monday.
Richard Rodier, lawyer and economic consultant – Rodier was Jim Balsillie's lawyer during the billionaire's bid to buy the Coyotes and move the team to Hamilton, Ontario. He will assist the NHLPA review legal, economic and business issues affecting the sport.
Robert DeGregory, associate counsel – DeGregory will work on collective bargaining and individual player matters. He was senior counsel for the Writers Guild of America West and an attorney for the United Steelworkers International Union.
Maria Dennis, associate counsel – Dennis played on the U.S. women's national ice hockey team and on Yale's women's ice hockey team. Also, she served on the Board of USA Hockey, the USOC, and the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee. She will work on collective bargaining and individual player matters.
Colin A. Campbell, director of corporate sponsorships – Campbell will work with the NHLPA's business partners to grow sponsorship business. He previously worked for MKTG Marketing.
"I am very pleased that Colin, Robert, Maria and Richard are joining us," Fehr said in a statement. "Each of them brings experience and skills that will be of benefit to the players as we go forward."
