Some interesting UNC-hoops-related digits, courtesy of North Carolina, the ACC, and a bit of research by me:

13 – Points senior Tyler Zeller needs to score to become UNC’s NCAA-record 64th players to record 1,000 or more career points. (Louisville has 63.) Forward Deon Thompson was the last Tar Heel to do it, during the 2009-10 season. John Henson (758 points) and Harrison Barnes (718) are the next Tar Heels in line.

19 – UNC’s current streak of wins at the Smith Center, dating back to March, 2010. It’s fourth-longest streak in Carolina history. The longest was 25 straight, ranging from March, 1992 to February, 1994. To match that, UNC would need to beat Evansville, Long Beach State, Appalachian State, Nicholls, Texas and Elon. To beat it, they’d also need to top Monmouth on Jan. 1.

2 – Victories UNC coach Roy Williams needs in order to reach 650 for his career.

16 – Times – counting last week’s win against No. 9 Wisconsin, and loss at No. 1 Kentucky – that UNC has played back-to-back regular-season games against Top 10 foes.

0 – Occasions when UNC has had a nine-game homestand under Williams – although the Tar Heels begin one Tuesday. Carolina did play 10 out of 11 at home during a long stretch in 2006-07, however.
