Halftime Thoughts: UNC-Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Sixth-ranked North Carolina leads Wake Forest 36-24 at halftime at Lawrence Joel Coliseum. A few thoughts:

  • It looks like UNC forward Harrison Barnes is OK. The sophomore left the game -- and the court -- with about 7 minutes left in the first half after rolling his left ankle. He had it re-taped in the locker room, returned to the game with less than two minutes left, and hit a free throw, then a 3-pointer. He has seven points, so far.

  • For his third straight start, shooting guard Reggie Bullock is defending the opposition's top scorer. And for his third straight start, he’s doing a solid job. Wake guard C.J. Harris is 2-for-5 with four points.

  • UNC isn’t shooting particularly well (34.3 percent), but then again, neither is Wake (28.1 percent). UNC forward John Henson leads all scorers with 10 points, while Tyler Zeller has eight points and nine rebounds.
