The Duke-North Carolina series has gone through its share of blowouts and nail-biters, meaningful buckets and memorable shutdowns.
But how tight is this rivalry historically?
One point over the last 75 meetings, according to the ACC office.
Duke leads 5,858-5,857.
“My first game I coached against them [the Tar Heels] in the Big Four, and the intensity of both teams and the fans were just different, at the highest level,'' Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said during Monday's ACC conference call. " … The teams bring that out in one another, and the fans of the teams bring it out in one another, too. That’s the anticipation of a great event on both sides, and there have been great games -- most of them have been really great games. Win or lose, we were part of terrific games."
And it all continues Wednesday, when the Blue Devils play UNC at the Smith Center.
