ESPN.com's RecruitingNation has been keeping track of which coaches were recruiting where during the July recruiting periods. From July 25-29, RecruitingNation had reporters at Fab 48, adidas Super 64, Las Vegas Classic, AAU Super Showcase, AAU Nationals, Live in the AC, Southeast Elite Showcase and Buzzer Beater Classic, and they noted at least 96 college programs at the events.

Roy Williams was at the AAU Super Showcase/Nationals keeping an eye on ESPN 100 prospects SF Troy Williams and PF Julius Randle. Williams then traveled to Las Vegas for the Fab 48, where he watched ESPN 100 PF Austin Nichols (Eads, Tenn./Briarcrest), ESPN 100 PG commit Nate Britt (Washington, D.C./Gonzaga College) and ESPN 60 SF Kevon Looney (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee Hamilton). He was also at the Las Vegas Classic to check in on ESPN 60 C Jahlil Okafor (Chicago/Whitney Young).
