Williams competing in Charity Challenge
By Robbi Pickeral
Many coaches are known for supporting specific charities.
Now you can help those charities by supporting a specific coach.
For the next six weeks, fans can vote for four different coaches (and charities) -- one in each region, NCAA bracket style -- in the Infinity Coaches Charity Challenge. Winners in each region gain a spot in the finals, where the victorious coach will receive $100,000 for his charity. (Infinity will also donate $5,000 to each of the 48 participants’ charities, regardless of the vote.)
In the ACC, North Carolina coach Roy Williams (who is "playing" for the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center) and NC State’s Mark Gottfried (The V Foundation) are among those competing in the South Region. Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski (Emily Krzyzewski Center) is in the East Region.
