NFL scouting combine participants were released overnight, and Notre Dame has eight players heading to Indianapolis.

Braxston Cave, Tyler Eifert, Kapron Lewis-Moore, Zeke Motta, Theo Riddick, Jamoris Slaughter, Manti Te'o and Cierre Wood will all be looking to impress NFL scouts come Feb. 20-26.

The eight invites are the Irish's most since 2002. Only five schools this year had more players invited.

Te'o has the highest NFL grade among the group, with an 87.5. Eifert is right behind him with an 83.3, followed by Motta's 71.2.

The closest thing to a surprise among this group is Slaughter, whose application for a sixth year was denied by the NCAA, though he has appealed that ruling.
