The storylines can seemingly write themselves for the rematch of a New York-New England title game that features a Manning and a Brady in another Manning's building.

For Notre Dame fans, it's much simpler.

Either Justin Tuck or Sergio Brown -- of the Giants and Patriots, respectively -- will win a Super Bowl ring.

Tuck was drafted out of Notre Dame in 2005; Brown was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2010.

Irish director of personnel Tim McDonnell, meanwhile, is the nephew of Giants co-owner John Mara. Mark Bavaro, drafted out of Notre Dame in 1985, served as one of the Giants' honorary captains Sunday.
