Former Notre Dame defensive line assistant John Palermo was named Tennessee's defensive line coach this past weekend, the latest in a line of former Irish assistants popping up in new places this offseason.

Palermo coached under Lou Holtz from 1988-89

Jon Fabris, an Irish graduate assistant in 1995, was recently hired by Indiana to coach the Hoosiers' defensive ends.

Another former Irish graduate assistant, Taver Johnson, was named Arkansas' assistant head coach/linebackers coach a little more than a week ago.
