ND debuts with No. 10 class

June, 7, 2012
RecruitingNation's first team rankings are now out, and Notre Dame debuts at No. 10.

The Irish, who picked up commitment No. 14 Thursday morning, Insider have benefited from a strong spring period, currently boasting four ESPN 150 prospects and eight ESPN 300 prospects.

Five of those commits are offensive linemen, but it's an under the radar prospect who may make the biggest impact, according to our Jared Shanker.
It is a good thing the Irish loaded up at tackle, because lefty Malik Zaire could be the solution to the Irish's issues at quarterback under Kelly. Though his high school offense is predicated on the option, Zaire has a great arm, is mobile and, most importantly, he is a natural leader and winner.
