The honors keep piling up for Manti Te'o, who was named Thursday as one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award.

The award, which stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, recognizes FBS players who stand out due to excellence in four areas: character, classroom work, community work and in competition.

The candidates will be narrowed down to 10 midway through the season, with media, coaches and fans voting on a winner from there.

Notable names on the list include future opposing quarterbacks Riley Nelson (BYU), Landry Jones (Oklahoma) and Matt Barkley (USC), along with Wisconsin's Montee Ball, who was a Heisman finalist a year ago.

The complete release with every candidate can be found here.
